February 7th: National Black HIV/AIDs Awareness Day

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a national HIV testing and treatment initiative designed to encourage Blacks across the United States to get educated, get tested, get involved and get treated.

While Blacks represent 13% of the U.S. population, the Center of Disease control and Prevention reports that the group accounts for 49% of the nation’s AIDs cases.
