Harlem Gospel Choir keeps the spirit alive across the world

 It started on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, 1986. Two million air miles later, Allen Bailey and the Harlem Gospel Choir are still spreading the word through music.

“I wanted to bring about a better understanding of African-American customs. Also, we give young black men and women a chance to travel and learn the business,” said Bailey, who has managed to keep many of the singers around, thanks to his father’s encouragement.
