Groups such as INROADS-a non-profit organization that matches talented people of color with high-profile internships-now provide year-round coaching and training to their participants.
The goal is to provide leadership training experiences that make participants valuable-and sought-after-employees upon college graduation. The INROADS process has helped more than 38,000 young men and women develop professional skills and competencies to be successful in careers in business and industry. Camryn Prevost, a senior at Southern University A&M, majoring in mechanical engineering, is one of them.
