Although tradition states that pearls are a gift given in celebration of a couple’s 30th wedding anniversary, two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington and his wife Pauletta Pearson Washington recently rang in their 26th year of marriage with a romantic getaway to an seaside resort dubbed the “Pearl of the Mediterranean”– Ponza, Italy.
