The 38-year-old Pinkett held a news conference to address what he called the “imbalanced” public discussion of his potential candidacy.
Democratic leaders have criticized him as a political neophyte who has never held elected office and rose to fame by winning Donald Trump reality show “The Apprentice.”
Pinkett said he is also a born-and-bred New Jerseyan with broad education, business and leadership experience. He said he has not decided whether to seek future political office if he is not chosen as Corzine’s running mate.
