Lieutenant General Williams served as a commanding general in Albany from 2005 to 2009. He says diversity in the marine’s leadership will make the marines stronger.
“Those who were leading don’t come from a single race or a single ethnic group. They come from all races and all ethnic groups so we should have representation from all of those racial and ethnic groups as well” said Williams.
Williams will work out of Washington D.C.
