Rice, will consult on regional and global issues that may affect the Birmingham, Alabama-based bank, and work as a senior advisor. Regions is one of the nation’s ten largest banks.
Rice, who currently serves as a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and professor of political science at Stanford University, will provide advice and counsel on current regional and global issues that may affect Regions, the Birmingham bank said in a news release.
“Dr. Rice has a special interest in working with the largest public company headquartered in her hometown and contributing to its continued growth,” said Dowd Ritter, chairman, president and CEO. “We are fortunate to have someone of her tremendous quality and experience both in Washington and around the world. Her assistance in helping us navigate through today’s rapidly changing environment and uncertain times will be invaluable to Regions’ management and Board of Directors.”
