No, but we do encourage you to register.  Registered users is one of the main factors that is used to monitor the success of our site.

Why should I make todaysdrum.com my home page?

To feed your mind roses. Everyday we hear dozens of negative stories about our community. It’s time that you hear dozens of positive stories about our community. Isn’t it? Ultimately, we are out to show the world that there is a market for positive Black news. We encourage you to, at the very least, read the Front Page headlines everyday!

Why is this site different from other “Black” websites?

We are out to expose you to positive black news. ‘Expect The Best’ that is our logo. No gossip. No bull. Make no mistake, we do respect our other brother and sister websites.

How do we get our news?

We sift through more than 100 stories a day and over 100 news web sites across the world to find the most inspirational and motivational stories. This is the service we provide to you the visitor.

If I want to provide my own stories, comments and/or links to other important articles, how should I submit my entries?

We welcome your comments, suggestions & articles. Please click on the ‘User Feedback’ link to submit.

Why did you name the site “Today’s Drum?”

“Today” was selected because the stories are from articles normally posted within the last 24 hours. “Drum” was selected because of its cultural significance. Traditionally, drums were used in celebration to inspire excitement and passion.

How can this web site be used best?

Selecting todaysdrum.com as your family’s homepage will ensure that each time someone in your family turns on the computer and goes online, they will be reminded of the diverse accomplishments of the global Black community. Todaysdrum.com can also be used as a resource for daily discussions with your children about some of the articles.

How can teachers use todaysdrum.com as an additional source of information and instruction?

Like parents, teachers can select todaysdrum.com as their homepage and either read news stories at their leisure or complete an in-class or homework assignment based on a news story selected by the teacher or student.

Does todaysdrum.com cover all stories affecting the Black community?

Todaysdrum.com applauds all news stories impacting the global Black community, but prefers to highlight ONLY those with the utmost motivational and inspirational spirit.

  1. why the change? i did register, however, i am not able to see the full article- why is this the case?

    this new format saddens me. i love love LOVE Today’s Drum, but this new signing in to get nothing has me considering a different homepage.

    i hope your response will highlight someting i’m doing wrong so i can stay with the family (smile).
